Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting Keynote Speaker Robert Babb

On February 4th, 2013, Robert Babb, PT, MBA, president and founder of the Physical Therapy & Wellness Institute, challenged the crowd at the Penn Suburban Chamber of Commerce small business conference to get “IT” in their organization. “Too often in the workspace, we hear employees say “he will never get it” or “she doesn’t get it”, states Babb. With Healthcare small business, Babb states businesses are faced with diminishing reimbursements, higher co-pays, and no control over pricing, putting healthcare in direct competition with any and all consumer disposable income spending.

As a result, Babb challenged the crowd to start with customers expectations, identifying expectations as they relate to your core business, with heavy emphasis on tools for your staff to accept the “heightened” sense of urgency with prospective customers. Ten key operational principles were reviewed, and presentation on what skills and knowledge PTW employees acquire after they get “IT”.
