PTW Expands Markets
In the past several years, PTW has met milestones many thought was not possible. Robert Babb, founder of the growing organization, reflects on the early days, "I had worked at my old company for 10 years when I gave 2 years notice to my old employer. Every bit of free time during the following 2 years was spent developing and then selling my business plan to the banks. I was turned down for the PTW plan by 6 banks, each bank representative explaining the risk was too great."
Fortunately, after financing was in place, PTW was born in 2002. Over the years, PTW has slowly grown to five markets, and is now about to expand to seven. "We only expand when we have great people. We are at a unique time right now to have great people that when combined with a good state of economics, directs our attention to expand. The world is in decent shape, and the people in our company are totally locked in to helping folks achieve more performance and higher levels of function," Babb states.
Babb states the first new outpatient clinic will be located at Salford Square in Harleysville, nestled across from Wal Mart and next to Butcher and Barkeep Restaurant. "We hope to open sometime in July. The Salford Square Shopping center is in the heart of a growing community, tucked in where people shop and meet. It's now nearly filled to capacity. We are even more excited this week, as we hear rumor that more medical services, possibly family practices, might be coming to the shopping center."
The second clinic is coming to Souderton in September, and like the Harleysville clinic it will offer the following: unloaded Anti-Gravity Treadmills, specialty equipment designed to meet mutual performance goals and service delivery that uses the PTW standard, quality driven Physical Therapy that established clinics and communities have learned to expect.
"This is an exciting time for PTW! We now enter into two small but growing markets where PT services are needed, collaborative community and healthcare opportunities exist, all at a time when our professional staff is ready for more challenges," Babb summarizes.
